Murray Hill & New Providence, N.J., U.S., February 2, 2012 – Linde is challenging food processors to “shake up” production with a range of cryogenic freezing/chilling technology to boost yield and processing line throughput -- including the world’s first hygienic IQF tunnel freezer with (patented) rolling-wave action.
Ideal for diced poultry, pizza toppings and other high-value IQF products, the high-efficiency CRYOLINE® CW (CRYOWAVE®) freezer provides significant cost savings vs. flighted freezers, eliminating CO2 snow carryover, and improving cleanability. Diced products and other small items that tend to clump or stick to belts can be chilled or frozen at high production rates using Linde’s CRYOWAVE technology. The proprietary rolling-wave action gently tumbles layered products and keeps them separate as they freeze. Precise controls minimize fines loss and lock in moisture, shape and quality for higher yield.
“Food processors are under extreme pressure to improve yield and productivity while holding the line on costs, but are often limited by existing equipment. With the right know-how and low capital outlays, new hygienically-designed cryogenic freezing technology using either liquid nitrogen or carbon dioxide can offer many economic benefits immediately,” said Mark DiMaggio, head of food and beverage, Linde North America.
The hygienic design of the CRYOWAVE also maximizes productivity by reducing cleaning and maintenance downtime. The freezer top lifts vertically providing full access to all food contact and internal areas, and sloped surfaces above and below the belt direct unwanted moisture and cleaning solution directly to floor drains.
The Linde Food Team performs in-plant assessments to identify current cost-to-freeze and works with processors to develop optimal process solutions. For more information, visit: http://www.lindefood.com, or call: 800-755-9277.
